This program equips you with the knowledge and skills a Machine Learning Engineer needs to know and to help you prepare you for the AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer - Associate. This comprehensive learning plan is for associate-level machine learning (ML) engineers, and anyone performing ML and AI engineering functions, who want to build, deploy, and operate ML and AI solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Structured around the key phases of the ML lifecycle, it includes courses and hands-on labs spanning data preparation, model development, deployment and orchestration, and operations, monitoring, and security, for both traditional ML and generative AI workloads. In the introductory course, you will review ML basics and learn to identify business goals and formulate them into ML problems. The courses include videos, interactive elements, diagrams, and knowledge checks for a multi-modal, enriched learning experience. They build sequentially but can also be taken individually.
Applied Learning Project
In four guided labs, you apply the ML lifecycle hands-on in AWS. You build an orchestrated, incremental data pipeline with AWS Glue, joining datasets in Amazon S3 and validating results with Amazon Athena. You train and evaluate an XGBoost model with Amazon SageMaker. You build a production-ready multi-agent generative AI application with Amazon Bedrock, creating five specialized agents coordinated by a supervisor agent. Then you secure an agentic application with Amazon Bedrock Guardrails from a SageMaker Jupyter notebook. Across the courses, you also work through ingesting and transforming data, tracking experiments with MLflow, deploying models for real-time serverless and batch inference, scripting infrastructure with AWS CloudFormation and the AWS CDK, automating retraining with SageMaker Pipelines, and monitoring drift and cost with Amazon CloudWatch.
