AI tools are transforming how health administration professionals document patient encounters, manage administrative tasks, and collaborate with care teams. This program introduces you to two powerful AI tools gaining significant traction in healthcare—Microsoft 365 Copilot and Dragon Copilot—and teaches you how to apply them to reduce documentation burden, streamline workflows, and work more efficiently across both clinical and administrative settings.
You'll learn to use Dragon Copilot to capture patient conversations and generate encounter note drafts, apply Microsoft 365 Copilot to inbox management, scheduling, and patient-facing communication, and integrate AI outputs into Electronic Medical Record (EMR) workflows with accuracy and traceability. You'll also develop the responsible AI practices needed to evaluate AI-generated content for privacy risk, clinical accuracy, and compliance before it enters the patient record. Each course is focused and practical, with a hands-on project that mirrors real clinical scenarios.
By the end of the program, you'll use AI tools confidently and communicate that expertise to employers.
This program is designed for professionals involved in documentation, care coordination, or operations including clinical staff, clinical support teams, and administrative and operations staff. Basic Microsoft 365 and clinical documentation familiarity are assumed; no prior AI experience needed.
Applied Learning Project
This program includes one hands-on project per course, each designed around a realistic clinical or administrative scenario. You'll apply AI documentation skills in a simulated patient encounter, verify and finalize a Dragon Copilot documentation package, manage a full clinical office day using Microsoft 365 Copilot, design a responsible AI review checklist for clinical use, and build a Copilot efficiency plan for a clinical team. Each project produces a practical deliverable you can discuss in interviews or apply directly in your current role.
