I enjoyed this course and learned a lot. The AI grader is no joke. It reminded me a little of my picky economics professor in college. My main criticism is that the projects require a significantly greater time commitment than the estimates suggest. For example, the Module 9 project took me most of a day, largely because there are no spreadsheet templates or sample data provided. You need to build your own spreadsheets for the TCO and RAS, create the data to populate them, and then make sure everything works correctly. That alone takes considerable time. Similarly, you are asked to develop a North Star vision from a very general company scenario. Because that scenario differs from the one used in the earlier North Star Vision module, much of the work from that module cannot simply be carried forward. You are essentially creating a new scenario and assumptions from scratch. I believe the estimated completion time for this project was around an hour, which was far below my experience. Several of the other projects also took well over one or two hours to complete. Because this course is taught from an executive leadership perspective rather than an analyst perspective, I think the learning experience would benefit from providing templates, sample datasets, and more detailed scenarios. Alternatively, using a consistent company scenario across modules would allow students to build progressively on their earlier work. None of those changes would diminish the learning objectives, but they would eliminate a substantial amount of unnecessary setup work. If you are leading an AI initiative within your organization, the course is highly relevant, practical, and immediately applicable. I would recommend it, but budget substantially more time than the estimates suggest, potentially 5 to 10 times more for some of the larger projects. My hesitation about continuing with the other courses in the Professional Certificate is primarily the time commitment. If they are structured similarly, the amount of time spent creating spreadsheets, datasets, scenarios, and other materials that could reasonably have been provided becomes a disincentive to continue unless you have considerable time available for each course, though I am confident that the course/s will deliver what is promised.
