Very interesting and that has make me eyes open to help more in Deaf children for their improvement as i done my Gr R Diploma in NWU, Study in NWU is more about teach to child, not for Deaf children so that here Educating Deaf Children course to Becoming an Empowered Teacher are more detail to how teach and help in Deaf children. Love this course and i am busy to ask other educators who is involve in deaf schools to come also do this course.

this course taught me so much about hearing impaired people, who are classified as deaf or hard hearing people

It was such an experience learning about the some of the experiences and challenges of the deaf community in such a real way, as well as the roles, challenges but in it also the vast array of opportunities teachers and potential, aspiring teachers like me have in all of this. The content was awesome and seem very relevant and up to date, especially the great suggested reading materials which I loved as much as the course content itself. I learned very basic sign language during that farce of a Covid period to keep myself and my daughter busy and we both loved it. Now after this course, the next step is SASL for a formal and more recognized course to help further along in my journey to learn to sign, hopefully become an interpreter and later teacher for the for community, and an ambassador for them as well if possible.

The Coursera course "Educating Deaf Children: Becoming an Empowered Teacher" provided tools and knowledge to effectively support deaf students. It also ensured that participants understand that Deaf students should receive a quality education tailored to their needs. Moreover, it empowered me to continue growing as an educator and to become an advocate for inclusivity and accessibility in the nation’s schools. The opportunity to learn about the importance of continuous professional development and the positive impact it can have on teachers, students, and other stakeholders should continue through courses such as this.

The course was very interesting and provided me with lots of new knowledge about the topic! I enjoyed getting actual, practical things to work and think about instead of just theoritical things. It also motivated me to learn my country's sign language and work towards learning more about the deaf community and how to teach such children. The only "drawback" was that there were 1-2 links from the reading resources that didn't work... Apart from that, I think that the University of Cape Town has great courses about such a topic. I would love to take one-or more-again! Thanks for everything!

Educating deaf people through this course is one of the noble tasks and training to become empowered educators for deaf people. From this couse we can learn how to be deaf and what communication is learned in order to interact with other creatures. From the teacher's point of view, this course provides education on how to become a teacher for the deaf, of course, by applying the training, approaches, and components learned in this course.

The course and the contents of the course are awesome. You got to give it time to understand it precisely. Do not rush on the topics, try to engage with them emotionally and you will benefit a lot.

My total experience and perspective has changed and I am getting more positive thoughts in my mind.

Its full of knowledgeable course to learn about deaf children and teaching. I found that how beautifully this course design, many things i already knew and learnt in my master degree but love to read and learn again.
