The course is really very helpfull for my career growth
Develop a working knowledge and familiarity with advanced database concepts such as usage, modeling, automation, storage, optimization and administration.
To take this course, you must have completed the previous Database courses. You must also be eager to continue your journey with coding. The Professional Certificates create opportunities so that anyone regardless of education, background or experience can learn high-quality skills to land a high-growth career—no degree or experience required to get started. By the end of this course, you’ll be able to: - Deploy basic data modeling skills and navigate modern storage options for a data warehouse - Apply planning and execution of ETL style database engineering by building upon existing MySQL skills - Develop a working knowledge of the different aspects of managing a database including administration of database operations and concerns, alongside processes and solutions for monitoring, reporting and debugging - Demonstrate data modeling skills within a real-world project environment You’ll gain experience with the following tools and software: - Workbench data modeling software - Syntaxes used to interact with a data warehouse - Extract, transform and loading (ETL) techniques and methods - MySQL data warehouse administration - Data warehouse monitoring and reporting tools - Database debugging and testing tools - Data modeling tools

Like in previous courses, the materials and exercises are useful. The instructions were understandable. However, the project requirements were not stated clearly, and some quizzes were ambiguos.

Good information and certainly useful, but of much lower quality compared to the other courses in the certificate. Many of the quizzes had vague, poorly worded, or entirely irrelevant questions - some were even looking to accept the wrong answer altogether. And there was no response to repeated attempts to try to bring this to the instructors' attention. The final project was particularly bad in that the instructions were vague and inconsistent with what was asked for during project submission. They also didn't line up with the reviewing criteria. Finally, the grading rubric for the final project is physically functional but logically broken. The criteria and point scoring is, for lack of a better word, a mess. Ultimately, I guess I just expected better from a company like Meta - especially because the previous courses were all pretty good.
The mandatory peer reviews along with fairly poor instructions are awful.
The least helpful course in the series.
this should be much more about data modelling techniques and less about how to use MySQL WB and Tableau
This is a fantastic course which walks you through the very fundamentals of data warehousing and database systems. I learnt a lot, refreshed some of my basics, and will be able to apply learnt principles here to my work. The only challenge I had with this course is the ambiguity with the final assignment submission where the instructions are unclear and the expectations are different from the instructions. Additionally, the whole process of submitting the assignment is confusing because you are not sure which screenshots to update and then the files (with a vague mention of VS Code which is not even used for this particular course).
The course covers complex topics that should be in a dedicated specialization and not superficially as in this case. Also the choice of Tableau with its trial period of 14days. In 14 days you have to finish this course and the capstone and could be not easy for everyone.
The whole journey is good, and the exercises are really helpful to understand database modeling skill. But, the instruction of the final project is unclear, need more attention to improve.
Video and reading assignment are great! But the assignment and peer review project are horrible. Some questions does not have correct answer. I tried all the answers and did not got anyone correct. The final project was a messy. Seems the project had been updated a few versions in past a few years. But many old students were not reviewed in time(I reviewed some assignments submitted at October 2023), so I had to review some submission from old assignment, which I had not clue about what were their task. I gave them full point as I know it's not the students issue. But it's a disastrous experience as a student.
Material is reasonable, but graded assignments are just a shame! There are several obvious mistakes and mistypes, instructions are poorly formulated and sometimes do not correspond to the grading criteria for peer-reviewed tasks.
The final project has very unclear instructions. It mentions "downloading files from vscode to local machine" which does not make sense; vscode was not even used in any part of the course. The course also requires using a paid software product.
Course full of mistakes, waste of time and money. Shame on you !!!
I really enjoyed this course. I found the concepts were clearly explained and the lessons meaningful
l'un des meilleur cours en modelisation de donnée et analyse de donnée .
It was well explained! I fell it will be really useful in my career.
The instructors are very clear and the module are very rich.
Interesting course and complete view about Data modeling
