Videos are mostly read and not much explained. Explanation should not be another text on the video, rather a rappresentation of the topic.
This course was a huge disappointment. If there was an option to give zero stars I would do that. The content, which consisted of a series of monotonous lectures reading directly from slides, was filled with typos and mispronunciations. The examples provided were confusing and poorly explained, making it difficult to understand the material. What was most frustrating was the lack of engagement. I was genuinely excited to learn about ITIL 4, but this course was so boring it felt like torture. The tests were also problematic, with poorly worded questions and incorrect answers that contradicted information from more reliable sources. I would not recommend this course to anyone.
After completing course 1, I am electing to switch to an alternative learning platform. I found a significant disconnect between the course’s video content and its quizzes. The quizzes frequently tested concepts that were never explained in the videos, creating a frustrating experience where I was unable to answer questions based on the provided material. The course also presented factually incorrect information, such as misclassifying Knowledge Management as a Service Management Practice when it is actually a General Management Practice in the official ITIL V4 framework. This poor alignment and inaccuracy makes the course unreliable for learning the ITIL framework correctly.
I was looking forward to this course, but unfortunately, it did not meet expectations. The instructor mainly read directly from the presentation slides without adding any meaningful explanation or context. This made the sessions feel passive and monotonous rather than informative.
This course is a decent high-level overview, and if you're looking for a simple way to get a certificate of completion then this will be great for you. However, if you're looking for a course that will teach you something actionable you may be disappointed.

Very dry and systematic
Strengths: Covers the full ITIL V4 Foundation syllabus. Includes quizzes and assignments for each module. Accessible through Coursera Plus. Areas for Improvement: Engagement & Delivery The instructor’s tone is extremely monotone, making it hard to stay focused. Videos are very short and lack depth, often just reading bullet points without explanation. No real-world examples or scenarios to show how concepts apply in practice. Content Quality Feels fragmented and abstract, terms are introduced without context or practical application. Minimal visual aids or interactive elements; mostly static slides. Does not provide clarity on why these concepts matter or how they fit into IT operations. Learning Experience Difficult to conceptualize the material because it’s presented as isolated definitions. Lacks storytelling or case studies that could make the framework relatable. Overall, the course feels like reading a glossary rather than learning a methodology. Impact on Learners: Learners who need certification prep will struggle to retain information due to the dry delivery. Requires heavy supplementation from external resources to make sense of the material. Recommendation: Add real-world examples, scenario-based exercises, and longer, more detailed videos. Improve instructor engagement and pacing.
The course is informative but has several issues: 1. The entire course is just reading the slides, no explanation given apart from the lines on the slides. 2. The lesson numbering in the modules are not clear and when you have to refer to them from the assessment, its nearly impossible 3. The assessments in the middle of modules come with questions that were discussesed in the subsequent lessons. 4. A feedback lesson at the end of assessment with proper explanations for the answers would be welcome. Some answers doesn't make sense 5. Still not sure why most of the video's were less than 5 min and split into 1,2 mins. All relevant info can be put in one video with 10 mins rather than splitting and shot videos.
Nothing but word definitions given in 1-2 min clips. No working examples given. Test ask questions on topics/scenarios that have not been covered yet. In the first module you just learn the terminology and textbook definitions and then need to explain how to sell this framework to a stakeholder and explain how it can help them integrate AI into their business. For a beginner, the modules do not provide enough information to properly answer these questions. I found a better course on this elsewhere.
The trainer's English accent is making it more difficult to understand the course, while the explanations are often confusing and complicated. Also, the videos are not organized well (when answering incorrect to a quiz question, you get a wrong info about what video you have to watch in order to get the answer)
mutiple times there are questions asked in the tests that are not covered in the material. I thought I was missing something, so I went to the transcript to see if I could find the answers and the info was not there
The practical examples made abstract frameworks feel tangible and easy to apply. Understanding how the four dimensions influence service quality gave me a fresh perspective on operational bottlenecks. I’m eager to apply these learnings
