The course is very useful for providing a glimpse into how the process works with LangChain for building a chatbot with RAG. However, it is not as in-depth as other courses offered by DeepLearning.AI. The complexity of the LangChain API exacerbates the problem. It feels like a lab I took during my college days; I gained a lot of information about how to do it and what it is like, but there was very little information to help me understand the why and what behind it. I had to check every function in the LangChain documentation or source code to understand why it works that way and the meaning of the input parameters, which is really time-consuming. If there were a 9-minute course that quickly introduced what a chain/LCEL and Runnable object is as an optional course, it would have been very helpful and would have made the content easier to understand.
