There are much better intro courses on Coursera. The first few modules are fine, but as it gets into more intermediate concepts like RAG, the quality falls off significantly. Lecture content is fine, but the labs have incorrect or missing instructions, the quizzes are phoned in and in some cases have incorrect answers marked as correct, and the professors are MIA in discussions despite dozens of questions the course forums. Huge motivation killer and not at all the course I would recommend for someone who is interested in getting started, especially since there are many better supported courses on this platform.

Modules 1 and 2 are definitely introductory material. Modules 3 and 4 require a decent amount of understanding of coding (Python).

Many of the quizzes have problems, module 4 wasn't recorded properly, and the laboratory for fine-tuning is of low quality.

Fewer headshot videos. More slides to summarize key points. The first 3 modules need better English to ensure more effective examples for Prompt Engineering. And those modules could easily be shortened as it just takes knowing the key terms and doing 1 or 2 labs. Doing the labs through video is painful. Better to set-up labs with side-bar tutorial so a person doesn't rely on low resolution. Especially with Notebooks, you can easily type out the instructions or link to a video demo/gif if needed of that step. Rather than external labs, especially for HTTP API, be better to have an internal lab. Better quality code share in 4th Module

The first three modules are well-constructed; however, the fourth module appears quite disjointed and out of place. Additionally, the fourth module contains several assessments with ambiguous questions, some of which have double meanings. One question, in particular, includes information that is entirely irrelevant to the topic and outdated. The instructor presented a chart as a point of interest and then the question asked for the percentage represented by a specific bar in the chart.

Nice course on "Introduction to Generative AI". It was a brief introduction to Gen AI concepts and how to use LLM APIs to create custom applications. Truly beginner level course.

Modules 1-3 were good. Module 4 could be much better. The quality of videos was poor. Some of the quizzes marked correct answers incorrect. The material could also be better.

There should be more step by step instructions how to run the labs.

Very High Level view

I give 5 stars because it covers all needed to start with Generative AI. Specifically, 1. If you are a beginner, the course covers all key terms and concepts of the field. 2. If you already have experience, the course fills in any gaps. This course enables you to map what you do w/ GenAI to the language the (job) market understands. I learned this the hard way; I did several things on my own and then I realized there's a term for that. The lack of terminology knowledge may cause your hard-work to not be properly reflected on you CV or skill set and hence miss interview opportunities. I am not saying that the course is perfect, exhaustive, or that at the end of it you will be a Senior AI Engineer. I am saying that it provides a great head start or review of the field. Practice, exposure, and further learning will make you a GenAI expert. Tips: 1. I watched almost everything at 2x playback speed. 2. Throughout the course there are glossary/terminology sections for a quick recap.

I thought this course was an excellent summation of the material with many great hands-on material lessons. The inclusions of labs into the coursework I believe is an excellent addition as it allows for personal experience with the material instead of remaining in only text and video lessons. I would highly recommend this course for any getting into Generative AI!

This is a very useful course for understanding the Generative AI. The explanations are easily understood. The course structure is designed to keep the learners interest.

This Course gives good introduction to Gen AI it was organized but the quiz and assignment section was not so good and I think it needs to be revised.

Great learning resources that will be useful long after completing the course, concise presentations, and clear explanations of all topics

good course but should have extra material for reference like docker azure openai and other tools tutorials and docs references.

Good starter kit for Generative AI. Few topics might be technical for non-tech people but needs to be covered.
