I found this course more basic than I expected based on the title.
A significant part of the course covers foundational marketing concepts such as the customer journey, managing customer experience, experimentation and measuring impact. These are useful foundations for someone relatively new to marketing, but for experienced professionals there is quite a lot of familiar material before getting to the more AI-specific insights.
I did appreciate the real-world examples, the sections on AI opportunities, personalization and bias, and the academic perspective. The course is well structured and accessible.
Overall, I think this is a good introduction for marketers who want to start exploring AI, but I would have liked a much deeper focus on how AI is actually changing marketing, customer behavior and the customer journey, and on emerging developments such as generative AI and AI agents.
Good foundation for beginners, but somewhat limited for experienced digital and marketing professionals looking for more strategic or advanced AI insights.
One thing I found disappointing is that several of the articles included as course materials are behind external paywalls.
