A great course with a great teacher. I like that it focuses on teaching the practical stuff, and not just theory as in many other courses. By building complete apps, students can understand the logic of programming rather than just separate concepts.

Per is the first teacher (and I've seen quite a few) whose explanations are intuitively easy to understand, it's like he can think on the level of a beginner, despite being an advanced programmer himself. His every word is to the point so it's easy to follow, at the same time he sees potential pitfalls for a student and makes sure to cover that. Not to mention that he is very encouraging and seems like a very easy-going person :) I can say the same about Rafid and his Shopping List app in Week 4. I loved this app and this entire course.

On the downside, in Week 4 sometimes the built-in app on the upper right just won't react, I would click on it but it wouldn't get bigger so I couldn't test anything. Maybe it's a problem on my side, but it was kind of frustrating anyway.

I just wrapped up the Learning JavaScript course on Scrimba, and I have to say, it’s been an incredible experience! The standout feature for me was definitely the interactive IDE built right into the video lessons. This hands-on approach is a game-changer. Instead of just passively watching videos or reading about code, I could immediately apply what I learned in real-time. It’s like having a live coding session where you can test out concepts on the fly, which really helps in solidifying your understanding. What I really appreciated about this course is how practical it is. It’s not bogged down with excessive theory. Instead, it focuses on lessons that you can apply right away. This makes learning JavaScript much more engaging and less overwhelming. The bite-sized, actionable lessons kept me motivated and made the learning process feel less like a marathon and more like a series of manageable sprint. Another highlight for me was the course structure. Each lesson builds upon a central project, which creates a cohesive learning experience. It’s amazing to see how your work evolves and improves as you progress through the course. This approach not only reinforces what you’ve learned but also gives you a sense of accomplishment as you watch your project come to life. Overall, this course is a fantastic way to learn JavaScript, especially if you prefer a practical, hands-on approach to coding. The interactive nature and the project-based structure make it both effective and enjoyable. Highly recommended!

I am only 3% done with the program, but all I could think about is how I cannot wait to write my review. I would follow this instructor to the ends of the earth. He is so entertaining and interesting, with just the right amount of corniness. The videos are interactive too which has been so amazing to be able to try something on my own and then have him do it on the screen right after, rather than having to click back and forth between browser tabs, or copying and pasting what is on the video to start the work where they started. I will update my review when I finish the course, but this is already by far my favorite coursera lesson. I hope this guy has more, but I should probably get to working on this one first. Wonderful for begginers

Amazing course!

This is an excellent course: the learning is paced extremely well and there are practical examples and implementations of the code used to explain the concepts that are being taught. You can start this with a very basic understanding of HTML and CSS and 0 knowledge of JavaScript and you will learn so much. The concepts that are built through the first three weeks create a solid foundation for anyone to begin creating their own small-scale personal projects.

what makes this course different from others is that you get to practice every lesson yourself to build up muscle memory. The instructors understand that the way to master coding is with practice. It also avoids the hassle of setting a development environment with scrimba. Overall, a very comprehensive and engaging course.

Thank you for everything .That was an amazing journey into the language ! Personally it gave me so many things and thoughts. Explanations were all instructive, and enlightening many times! That made it more obtainable .Sincerely Thanks again !
