I didn't love the first course in this specialization, but I'm so glad I continued with it. I learned so much from this course, and Dr. Solomon does a great job squeezing a ton of content into a short class while still providing plenty of variety, like visits to natural areas and interviews with colleagues. I'm grateful to have been able to take this specialization.

Pretty solid course, enthusiastic instructor, but unfortunately only really detailed for Animals. Bacteria/Archaea get little attention, and Plants and Fungi are merely glossed over at 10min each - very shallow, not even the depth of a high school course. However the key points are hit, and there is more detail in the optional textbook readings.

An awesome course! I learned tons, and it was by far my favourite course. I am 15 years old, and now going about to attend a university in the topic of environmental engineering because of this course! My only complaint is that there weren't more courses following this one on a more in-depth level to this subject. :)

I really enjoyed this course It was clear easy to follow and very interesting I learned a lot about biodiversity evolution and how life on Earth is connected The videos and activities helped me understand the topics better Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone interested in biology

The perfect bite sized pieces of information provided in this course made learning science so enjoyable! Especially since we get to see the examples in the videos!

The professor was great at explaining each topic. All articles needed for the topics were provided which was wonderful for reading in your spare time.

I loved all three courses and they significantly broadened my understanding of the biological environment that surrounds us.

Very instructive videos with the option of delving into greater detail through optional readings.
