This Course/certificate is not free (have to buy OpenAI ChatGPT) even if you have monthly subscriptions coursera Plus, If you do not buy you can not finish the certificate. I Kinda felt like cheated, not because I had to pay $21 extra, because you won't know this until you reach to last courses in line of this certificate. It is not mentioned anywhere that buying ChatGPT is mandatory to finish the certificate, also emailed to the University Instructor about it and I got zero response. There is no way to get temporary free student login in ChatGPT just for study purpose like Other Coursera certificates providers gives eg: Google. I have many certificates from coursera, this was my first Vanderbilt University Certificate and going to last from this university.

Really, really njoyed this course. I have been creating custom GPT's on my own - self taught, but was getting frustrated with some of the outputs. I'm a try first thn learn the instructions type of person...This course has answered my questions! I am neurodivregent but Jules taught in a way that kept me engaged!!!

For people who don't use Computer.

Excellent course to learn more about Chat GPT and building your custom GPTs. Knowledge that can be directly applied to the personal and work environment is transferred in a very efficient way through the course and the teacher. So far, for me this has been the best time investment among all Coursera courses completed. The other courses have been very good as well, but I would like to give some more credits to this one, when specifically thinking time investment, applications and benefits.

Previously, I don't know custom gpt could make some useful mini apps. Now, I know it can create random motivation quotes generator, reframe questions, translation assistant, translation quality checker, and more. It has introduce some useful patterns in his prompt engineering course that I missed. I hope to join that course soon for more complete sets of patterns. Highly recommend custom gpt course for those who are unaware of such possibilities and the patterns.

This is one of the best course sets on the markets (I have attended many others as well). However, in each of the 3 courses, you should change the various examples to be about issues and questions that lawyers might actually face in their practice. - and not about irrelevant hypotheticals not related to law. That would make this series of courses the best in the market right now. The course about building custom GPTs was the best in this series.

Quite straight forward and value creating. I have been using gpt since its launched and never realised the full power of it. This course I think is a good primer to prompt engineering and how to ethically use LLM in your organisation. I wouldn't say practically everything is covered but if you have been using LLMs and fiddling with various options this really takes your game to the next level.

Dr Jules White engaging style kept me captivated throughout the course. I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in learning about AI assistants and how to harness their potential. Whether you're a programmer or not, there's something valuable to gain from the practical skills taught in this course.

Coursera has some really great courses, and great instructors. With that said Dr. White is undoubtably one of the best professors I have encountered over my learning career. He cares deeply about the subject matter and conveying that his students. I very highly recommend this class as well as his Prompt class.

Just completed the "Making Your Own GPTs" class, and it was both enjoyable and creatively stimulating. The course offered a great balance of practical learning and innovative exercises. In the earlier prompt engineering courses, I kept thinking about how to actually build Custom GPTs—and this one really hit a home run. Clear, practical, and immediately usable. I’ve already built one for my own needs, and it works beautifully.

Another great class from Jules - I liked that 1)he uses the same scenarios throughout the class (the business expense scenario), 2) this is a business problem, 3) covers ethical considerations and also covered prompting scenarios!

With the growing interest in Generative AI, this is a timely course to take in helping to understand how to build a custom AI assistant. I've learned so much from this course, and hopefully create a few. Thank you Prof White!
