Thoroughly enjoyed this course... very informational... and I might add... better than watching a netflix movie.. haha.. Well done Yale and Prof Marla Geha and team. Much appreciated!

This course is an intuitive introduction to rocket science in our everyday lives. Modern life increasingly depends on technology provided by Earth-orbiting satellites, from detailed weather predictions to broad-band internet and GPS. How are satellites launched into orbit and how do they work once they get there? Why are rockets used to get into orbit and how are they different from airplanes? This introductory course is aimed at a wide non-technical audience and is appropriate for all ages.

I enjoyed this excellent overview of satellites. For someone with no background in science or math, it helped my understanding of the rocket launches I love to watch. Thank you!

I really enjoyed Module 2 and 3 with the mathematics to explain orbits and multi-stage rockets. The course was interesting on the whole and clearly presented. Thank you.

Really nice and quick overview that teaches you ton of trivia that might not be super important for survival, but let you understand what others do to make our survival so easy!
BH
Good quick overview of the space domain for beginners. It's also a good review for engineers who are in the industry to remember the fundamentals.

Interesting course that provided insight into rocket science and satellites for the lay person (a.k.a. ´For Dummies’. ) Excellent instructor and short concise modules.

For a novice rocket dude, this course is well laid out and presented. The physics are kept at a low level and the science is well explained. Great course

Truly gifted professor. She exudes passion for her topic and clearly loves helping students understand complex material at a level that is appropriate for an entry level course. Many thanks!

Good intro to the subject. Refreshed a lot of info from my undergrad physics days in the early 70s and added some new insights. Great instructor.

Awesome Course and an Awesome Professor but a Yale University Logo/Seal should've been there on the certificate. It would've looked cool but never mind.

As a space engineer I can easily say that the course is great for everyone. You are going to learn not only rocket science but also satellite knowledge. Basically it is a basic space engineering overview.
This was such a cool course! Thanks so much to Professor Geha for teaching this and making rocket science so fun, engaging, and accessible. I learned a ton and highly recommend the course.
Excellent course, one of the best I have taken. Lectures are clear, good graphics and reading resources. I would take another class with instructor.
Fabulous course. Each module starts with a review of previous information which is great for learning the content. I look forward to more offerings like this one, especially in Astronomy.
Insightful, resourceful, concise course which explains the basics of aerospace fundamentals so vividly and efficiently! Many thanks to Professorin Geha and your team.
Good intro to the subject. Refreshed a lot of info from my undergrad physics days in the early 70s and added some new insights. Great instructor.
Its short and fun course, I did learn new things about orbits, satellites, payloads....Thanks Professor Marla Geha
An excellent course. Prof. M. Geha has presented very complex complex with extreme ease. T
Excellent content and delivery. Rocket science delivered with precision and speed
I had a fun and great experience studying this course. It is concise and well-structured, and Professor Marla Geha did a great job making complex things understandable. There is some math, which is quite frightening at first, but if you pay attention to her explanation, you will be fine. I strongly recommend using ChatGPT as your study assistant. Every time I did not understand anything (which happened a lot), I went to ChatGPT and asked her. Studying is much easier with the help of AI. At the beginning of the course, I knew next to nothing about rockets. Now I feel so educated! My biggest appreciation to Professor Geha, her team, Yale University and Coursera for providing such a wonderful course.
I would really like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the instructor of this course Marla Geha , you are an incredible instructor who explains everything so beautifully and your enthusiasm is being reflected in every module . I am glad that I came across this course which have taught me so much about rocket science and again boosted my pre interest in this field. Thank you to the coursera community for your impeccable efforts in bringing the best for students . Thank you so much .
I am so grateful for the opportunity to have completed the 'Rocket Science for Everyone' course.Professor Marla Geha is simply the best. Her sweet and intelligent teaching style made this challenging subject approachable and fascinating. The course provided a comprehensive and clear overview, and i now have strong grasp of the basic principles. My sincerest appreciation to Coursera and Yale University for their generous financial aid, which was a tremendous help.
Wonderful course. I can finally understand with clarity how satellites and rockets work, and what space and the orbital regions around Earth are like. I love how Professor Geha stuck to info that is pertinent to our lives and interesting. There is a LOT to take away from this course. Thank you Professor Geha for making such a difficult subject so accessible. One of the best classes I have taken!
An absolutely fantastic course. I've come away from it feeling inspired and excited, but also sad that it's over -- which is definitely a good thing! Professor Geha's teaching style is excellent, the course materials are structured really clearly, and the content has a great blend of physics, history and a *little* bit of math. Thank you so much for such a brilliant learning experience!
Amazing course !! 96% due to the Instructor Marla Geha who was the fuel to launch the course into orbit at 7.6Km/sec(17000 m/hr) with a sizable payload of educating us which accounted for the 4%. I am 60+, a rank amateur astronomer and retired electronics guy but this course motivated to look at the possibilty of taking courses in the field of astrophysics. Thank you.
I absolutely loved this course! The instructor was amazing, which for me is the most important aspect of any online course. Her energy was infectious and made the course so much more fun. The pacing as well was suitable for beginners so nobody will feel lost or confused. Everything is explained slowly and meticulously with attention paid to the detail.
Professor Marla Geha and her team really made rocket science very interesting and very accessible to me who doesn't have much of a science background. I have a better understanding and more appreciation for the man-made stuff orbiting our planet that makes our everyday lives possible. Thank you for such a wonderful and educational course.
This course helps me to know what is actually happening in space like, earth orbit, satellite, and how do rocket traveling from earth to orbits from orbit to other planets, and even how do communication is been between earth and satellite, without haven any knowledge about astronaut or satellite system. It's an extremely amazing course.
