NT
The concepts learned were really helpful. I had never realized that L&D had so many things in the backend. Looking forward to applying this. Onwards to the next course!
JO
A relatively thorough and mostly self-paced course. It was a perfect fit for the type of course and overall cost I was hoping to find!
AT
A little difficult for me because it was very technical but lots of great info and learned a lot!

There is a lot of information but I don’t know how updated it is since it teaches the myth of learning styles which was already debunked for over 10 years. One of the lessons is in the wrong order; content within each video is very repetitive and verbose; content overlaps with other courses in the HRCI certification; some questions are repeated in quizzes; used different keywords in quizzes vs in the material which creates confusion.
Coursera has a shameless and the laziest support team. If you complete courses in two different subscriptions, they will deduct money but not issue a specialization certificate. I sent them dozens of emails and each time their useless support team say we are looking into your issue. Coursera is a fraudster
some of the material in this course has been comprehensively debunked (learning styles), and some of it (unless I didn't understand the material properly - which is a concern in itself) was actually wrong, most notably the section on training return on investment. I have my concerns about this course and I'm wondering whether it will adequately prepare me for the exam
Not a fan of the peer reviews!

Great course, delivered in a clear systematic and easy to understand way. Very relatable and questions match content exactly. Highly recommend for non-HR professionals looking to consolidate learning and development knowledge.
I have learned so many things in this course. It was very well put together.
The trainer reads off of the script and provides and example. Feels a bit redundant.
it was as mentioned a free course, in between the course they have graded assessment which needs upgradation. so how it is a free course. i have completed all the modules and assignmet and still wont be able to download the certificate since it has paid graded assignment. this is so misleading
The final quiz is too long, it caused fatique to do it. Better to stay in less than 15 questions.
I learned valuable lessons on Bloom’s Taxonomy, adult learning, VAK learning styles, Talent Management Systems and the Kirkpatrick Model. For those who want to create their own learning and relevant experiences for the next steps in their career lifecycle, this course is a good choice.

Being new to Human Resources I learned a lot from this course and I am confident I can put the skills to practice
Excellent course material, great pace and useful content for exam prep.
I Really don't like The learning and development course I guess it not connected and need to rearrange the topics it's make you feel confused the talent acq is more better.. But of course thank you.
I wish that the instructor spoke slower and went more into details. Some information on the test was not gone over well during the course.
The course "Learning and Development" became for me a deep dive into modern approaches to the professional development of employees and the formation of a learning culture in the organization. I learned how to effectively assess learning needs, create relevant training programs, and measure their impact on business. It was especially interesting to get acquainted with the methods of adult education (andragogy), the development of business trainings, as well as the construction of leadership and talent development programs. The course showed how to properly approach training from the point of view of a strategic partnership of HR with business, and not only as a formal process. Attention to the issues of inclusion in training was also useful — how to ensure the availability and effectiveness of programs for all categories of employees, regardless of their individual needs and background. I already use the knowledge gained from the course during the preparation of training sessions and lectures, in particular within the framework of my assistant practice. This allows me not only to conduct classes, but also to build an educational process with a focus on results and development. In general, the course gave me practical tools and inspiration to work in the field of staff development, and I am sure that this knowledge will be extremely useful in future HR practice.
I recently completed the Learning and Development course as part of the HRCI Human Resource Associate Professional Certificate, and I must say—it was an outstanding experience. The course content was amazingly detailed, logically structured, and highly relevant to real-world HR practices. Each module built upon the last in a clear and coherent way, making complex concepts easy to understand and apply. I especially appreciated the practical examples and case studies, which helped me connect theory to practice. As someone working in performance management and organizational development, I found the insights on training strategy, learning needs analysis, and talent development particularly valuable. This course has not only deepened my understanding of L&D but also equipped me with tools I can immediately apply in my role. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to strengthen their HR capabilities and make a meaningful impact in their organization.
I am an HR Generalist, but I found this very helpful. I wish I had done this when I first started in HR a few years ago. It's a solid core understanding of the fundamentals that HR professionals learn on the fly, but this should be required for any new HR associate. I am pursuing my SHRM-CP, so I wanted to take more formal courses and practice tests so I can pass on the first time. I may take the aPHR as well since I've done this certificate.
