Quizz grading partially wrong(i.e. claiming that java interfaces have no private methods). Quizz reading makes me dizzy by repeating the same question over and over and over again - that is not really helping to learning the material.

Dead content links to questionable pages like https://www.techtarget.com/whatis/definition/Common-Language-Runtime-CLR What has CLR to do with Java Fundamentals anyways...

Claims to be updated 2023, but misses lots of new java features like records, the java shell, flight recorder, sealed interfaces which are fundamentals...Why do you update the course and keep the content based on java 8.

Listening takes some effort, not always easy to understand.

Very average content. Examples are very basic and few. Worst are the assignments and quizzes, silly questions that are repetitive and confusing too. Coursera should review these assignments and take this course off until fixed!

This course is terrible! The instructor is unclear in her speach (not just her accent, but the word choice is not fluent and clear). On the quiz, I answered correctly but was marked incorrect: What is a difference between Java and C++? Answer "Syntax". Marked incorrect because Java and C++ have different syntax. Very frustrating!

Very nice and helpful course - worked as crash course. Very nice to revise the concepts in less time.

the question in the exams what a bit confusing and most of the questions was about the reading material and not the videos themselfs, a bit disappointing to be honest, i thought its going to be covered in the videos. also some of the links in the reading material didnt work.

Awfully basic reading of slides. Lecturer sometimes just get confused than skip the rest of the slide and move to the next (what??!). The quizes are not about the concepts but more to trick you with slight linguistics, sometimes are only wrong answer possibilities provided and one of them is arbitrary considered good, and sometimes the quiz relates to the topic of the previous "week". Nothing to learn here, only to confuse. Reading any of the free Java tutorials available on the net is astronomically more worthful than this. Very sad this is considered a Coursera standard.

I loved it. looking forward to completing the course with my utmost happiness and excitement. btw I must say caption with regional language is just splendid. how accurate and beautiful the translations are. I could not be so amazed if I had not seen it. Just awesome and so helpful

The course is very well structured and beginner-friendly. The explanations are clear, and the quizzes help reinforce the concepts. I especially liked the practical examples and hands-on coding exercises. Looking forward to learning more in the upcoming weeks!

Highly recommended! However there were some bugs and ambiguous questions in some of its quizzes and I have reported them in detail, so hopefully the mistakes will be corrected and the new comers will get the most out of this wonderful course.

All topics were clearly explained. But a little more depth is required and practice programs should be provided. Without practice skills cannot be developed.

Worst course ever. I never understood any of the quiz questions. Most of the time I guessed it and failed the first time so I tried the next time with different options. Even the right answers were wrong (confirmed by ChatGPT and internet searches). Very unprofessional and coding demos are like some dude made a YouTube tutorial with a very bad video and audio quality. Even some YouTube courses are more professional than this course. Wasted my time here. Coursera should remove this course.
