It was very difficult for me to understand the math part.

In the Specialization on Sensors for a Carbon Free World you will learn about how sensors are at the core of renewable energy technology. You will study the technology, architecture and components of electric vehicles, wind turbines and solar panels. Then you will identify and learn about the sensors that measure and control the critical parameters that run these devices. The sensors include battery monitor IC’s, oil pressure and current sensors, carbon dioxide and oxygen sensors, resolvers, anemometers, accelerometers, strain gauges, and hall effect sensors. The sample learner has a 4-year degree in electrical engineering, is early to middle career, and needs to specify sensors for renewable energy equipment. The learner may also be a graduate student or corporate research engineer assigned to gather process or sensor data.

The material that this class covers is good and practical. It is interesting, and the instructor obviously put a lot of effort into the material which is nice. The instructor is a little quirky, but not a big deal. The 1-star rating is because the amount of material and time frame. Each week there are 5 hours of videos, 5 hours of reading, a 50+ question HW assignment, and a short quiz. During the 2-hour 50 question exam I ran out of time and didn't answer a several questions. Of the questions I did complete I was confident that 90% were done correctly. But with lots of math, no time to check my work, and an auto-grader I got several questions wrong with small algebra mistakes. All of this for a 1-credit class!?!? Shrink the final and reduce the amount of material covered each week and this is a 4 star rating.
Very educative and an eye opener for me . I have learnt a lot on this course and I am willing to build on this to reach greater heights . Thank you to Coursera for giving me such a wonderful opportunity to begin my journey on EV's with the right step.
I learned a ton and this was a very interesting class. I wish it was more Embedded Systems focused as that is my area of interest. The homework assignments are very very large. Took me forever to get the right answers for all of the many questions. There are 89 questions in one of the homeworks. All doable but still takes a long time. The readings were useful and actually fun to learn from! The exam was at a significantly higher difficulty of where the homeworks were at. Seemed to test things that weren't super clear in class lectures or readings. Looking forward to the other 2 courses in this Pathway!
Worth it! That's all i can say.

En cuanto a contenidos, es un muy buen curso, sin embargo, las presentaciones se vuelven complejas de entender, producto de la monotonía en la exposición.
It is a great course. I enjoy passing it. Students should take attention to valuable references to get more knowledge on the subject.
