Course focus was mainly on code of conduct, employees training, monitoring programs, and incident response. Highly recommend week 3, as it delves into the psychology of why people either comply with regulation or violate regulations, and the various theories to explain their behaviors.
Yet another excellent course in this specialization. I really like Ms. Steinfield's and Mr. Kandel's delivery of these classes. Very informative and practical advice too!
Very interesting course covering many key areas of compliance programs. Covered key aspects of compliance that you often don't think about such as:
- why people do not comply
- how to build your own compliance structure
I found the examples provided did help my understanding a great deal.
One issue I will highlight is spelling & grammar mistakes throughout the transcripts. Also, one practice quiz stated that you should click two boxes for a correct answer, however the system would fail you if you ticked more than one box.
Culture, essentials, psychology and dealing with non compliance are covered and were all great building blocks to cover as the second course of four in the specialization. Many of these concepts can be applied to other departments.

Aalthough you will learn alot in the course in regards to compliance, the history of compliance, different regulating bodies, case studies, this certificate is a waste of time. i completed the Regulatory Compliance Specialization, i invested hours of time, spent the money for the certificate only to find out the certificate has a huge disclaimer stamped to the front of it which says its not a degree, its not the same as taking it on campus, it has no credit, and completely marginalizes the effort of the individual. the certificate might as well be written on a napkin as that's how potential and current employers are going to view it.
I like the course & it was full of new information which would help me a lot in my career. However, I got a finical aid to receive a certificate once I end this course. But I got nothing. Kindly, check & share me a certificate of this course including my name as promised. Thank You.
The course gives learner a good overview of what a compliance program should include. You will also learn where to start if you're in charged of the role to start the program at your organisation. I especially like the content explaining why people don't comply and what we can do to motivate more compliance.
The course is also beneficial for learners practicing outside the US because as far as I'm concerned, the principles for the compliance program are universal. It is, however, lacking in insights about compliance for subsidiaries and affiliates which usually does not allow much independence for the compliance department.
All in all, it is a good course for both beginner and someone with staff-level experiences in compliance aiming at managerial level. I wish my suggestion would be considered and incorporated into this course, or a new one.
