Operations Research (OR) is a field in which people use mathematical and engineering methods to study optimization problems in Business and Management, Economics, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.
The series of courses consists of three parts, we focus on deterministic optimization techniques, which is a major part of the field of OR. As the second part of the series, we study some efficient algorithms for solving linear programs, integer programs, and nonlinear programs. We also introduce the basic computer implementation of solving different programs, integer programs, and nonlinear programs and thus an example of algorithm application will be discussed.

I watched the three courses for this series to prepare for a final exam. The videos are very easy to understand and cover techniques my teacher did not cover in class. Also, it is very practical and omits details that are not required to understand the topic. After my final exam(I got an A, by the way) I decided to complete all three courses to prepare for my next comprehensive exams. I like it and I am learning a lot. I highly recommend it. My tip: Use 1.5X the speed instead of 1X.

Very clear explanations and great coverage from main points of view -- mathematical, technical and even business (which is quite rare combination). High-quality LaTeX slides evoke nostalgia, and real cases give good sense of how one can use these tools in the real world
Very good introduction into OR algorithms balancing theory with examples. The illustration and discussion of a practical case study in week 5 helps put the learning material into perspective of real-world business problems to solve

1. Some questions in tests were a little vague, abstract.
2. More examples in Python and Gurobi would be great for some extra practice.
3. Last quiz was disproportionately difficult to the content of the course. (at least in my opinion, maybe because I haven't attended OR1)
Nevertheless, the course was well prepared and a great introduction to optimization algorithms.
