It would be better if the course provided more explanation of the problems.

This specialization is a three course sequence that will cover the main topics of undergraduate linear algebra. Defined simply, linear algebra is a branch of mathematics that studies vectors, matrices, lines and the areas and spaces they create. These concepts are foundational to almost every industry and discipline, giving linear algebra the informal name "The Theory of Everything". This specialization assumes no prior knowledge of linear algebra and requires no calculus or similar courses as a prerequisite. The first course starts with the study of linear equations and matrices. Matrices and their properties, such as the determinant and eigenvalues are covered. The specialization ends with the theory of symmetric matrices and quadratic forms. Theory, applications, and examples are presented throughout the course. Examples and pictures are provided in low dimensions before abstracting to higher dimensions. An equal emphasis is placed on both algebraic manipulation as well as geometric understanding of the concepts of linear algebra. Upon completion of this specialization , students will be prepared for advanced topics in data science, AI, machine learning, finance, mathematics, computer science, or economics.

Great course! Really explains every topic clearly. Go watch the 3Blue1Brown videos, they're the best
HK
Teach good. It explore some of my blind areas about diagonalization, eigen and orthogonal, repeated roots concern, etc.
B
I really learned a lot form this course . The way of teaching is awesome. Thanks coursera
HK
Good course content. Instructor is inspiring, quite able to view thing from different perspective and useful to increase understanding of concept.
MD
It is great, the guy on the videos knows a lot, its a pity he writes so fast :))
MT
Good structure, concise and clear. Very helpful as an introductory to the topic
YC
yeah its very good to learm those from teachers,i enjoyed lot by learning and listioning
WB
It is a decent course. It provides a good additional material.
DY
It helps me to advance my knowledge and the way of teaching is just to the point, that's what i was looking for. I would say it would be great if their are more examples included.

Fun to do. As will all Coursera courses I've taken, I would have learned more if there had been a recommended text which the instructor followed.
MT
Superb explanation of the material. Practical expercises are on point.

This is overall a poor quality course. There is a gap between the type of content that is explained in the videos and the exercises that presented as graded material. There's almost no way to be prepared for the graded material based on what is covered in the lecture videos. I'd recommend to not take this course.
Prof explains in very clear terms explicitly over and over again with a humourous tounge, what the link between somewhat disconnected topics in LinAlg : Matrice vector products, Linear systems of equations, vector algebra, also functions and linear transformations. In the courses I stumbled upon these connections were spelled out subtlely but the approach in this course made it really click for me. He also pinpoints what are typical misunderstandings of students working with an example, where I had the chance to perfect my misperceptions on a concept I thought I understood clearly. Moreover quiz questions really tested my understanding of concepts rather than focusing on numerical calculations. Overall, he is a pro who has pedagocially crafted a very unique state of the art course. Cant wait to finish the whole spec.
The professor moves at a good clip. The supplemental material is excellent. However I'd like to get more problem assignments and see more proofs on the whiteboard. I made sure I could prove everything before moving forward to more advanced material. If you don't do this, you're not learning -- you're just memorizing. I want deep knowledge, not cookbook stuff.
I recently undertook this course, and what an exhilarating journey it has been! As someone who's always had a fascination with the intricate beauty of mathematics, this course not only met but exceeded my lofty expectations. From the very first lesson, I was hooked. The way the material was presented made even the most complex concepts feel accessible and engaging. It's evident that the instructors poured their passion for mathematics into every aspect of the course, from the clear explanations to the challenging yet rewarding problem sets. One of the standout features of the course was its emphasis on practical application. Rather than simply memorizing formulas, I learned how to approach problems with a deeper understanding of the underlying principles. This newfound knowledge not only boosted my confidence but also made me appreciate the elegance of algebra in everyday life.
Outstanding. Cuts through the formalism found in many linear algebra texts and makes the concepts intelligible, to the point that you can begin to understand the formalism. This course is definitely worth your time if you want exposure to linear algebra!
Very nice introduction to the subject. The instruction is clear and the quizzes are well done. Not too hard but also not easy. The lectures and notes are well reinforced by the test material.
Superb explanation of the material. Practical expercises are on point.
Excellent course in certain concepts of Linear Algebra. It requires a good mathematical background.
Good structure, concise and clear. Very helpful as an introductory to the topic
This course has a fantastic instructor.
A contentment of reading and learning!
Focus on concept building
Few copy errors near the start of the series, as well, I wish near the end we went over more examples of finding out the Standard Matrix in a Matrix Equation problem.
Superb lectures that clearly present the subject matter and offer practical tips on shortcuts, mistakes to avoid, and how to remember which rule to apply. Typos occasionally appear in the written presentation, but anyone who pays close attention will be able to identify and correct them.
Fun to do. As will all Coursera courses I've taken, I would have learned more if there had been a recommended text which the instructor followed.
I really learned a lot form this course . The way of teaching is awesome. Thanks coursera
Course is really cool and easy to understand and easy to use
Very well presented course. Beginner friendly
Fantastic course. Excellent instruction.
