The Embedded Display Drivers Development: A Bare-Metal Approach specialization offers a structured learning path for embedded systems developers, firmware engineers, and STM32 programmers. The first course in the path, STM32 Bare-Metal Foundations: Essential Drivers and Interfaces, establishes a strong foundation by exploring core STM32 peripherals and drivers. Learners will build and validate UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, and board-level interfaces, gaining the essential skills needed for embedded development. The next stage, Segment and Matrix Displays: STM32 Driver Development, applies this knowledge to interface with various display technologies, including 7/8-segment modules, MAX7219 multi-digit displays, and addressable LEDs. Finally, the specialization culminates with Advanced Embedded Displays: OLED, TFT, and Character LCDs with STM32, where learners implement drivers for OLED, TFT, and character LCDs, enabling rich graphical and textual interfaces. Through this progression, the specialization equips learners with the technical depth and practical skills to construct and optimize display drivers at a bare-metal level.
This specialization is based on the course, Embedded Display Drivers Development: A Bare-Metal Approach, by Israel Gbati.
Applied Learning Project
Applied practice activities integrated throughout the courses provide structured opportunities for learners to apply key concepts and methods in realistic contexts. Through guided analysis, reflection, and skill application, participants engage with authentic challenges aligned to the subject matter and develop practical competence in solving domain-relevant problems.
