How can you apply knowledge of climate change to the business world? What does it mean to work toward the United Nation’s sustainable development goals (SDGs) in a community context? How can your organization maximize its impact through intentional measurement and management? In this specialization, you'll explore how you can meet the climate challenge through developing more sustainable business practices. By the end of the specialization, you'll be equipped to ethically engage with others to take collective action when making management decisions.
The first course of the series, Climate Science for Everyone, provides an overview of climate science and asks you to reflect on the impacts it has on your personal and professional life. Then in Impact Measurement and Management for SDGs, you'll build on this knowledge and explore how management practices enable taking climate and conservation action. In the final course, Community-Based Climate Solutions, you’ll build on the first two courses to explore how you can mobilize collective action in your community — and how incorporating these practices can make you a better organizational leader.
If you work or wish to work within an enterprise, a corporation, a fund that manages assets, or an asset owner or advisory that oversees investment assets, or if you just want to learn more about impact investing, ESG, social finance or corporate reporting, this course series will give you foundational knowledge to make a difference.
