There is no single standard list. Sources give six, seven, or other numbers of steps, depending on the model. Conflict Resolution at Work For Dummies uses its own process instead. It introduces eight steps to resolution in Module 2, then builds a full mediation process in Module 3, from preparing the parties through to a written agreement.
