Most professionals were never taught how to communicate; they picked it up by trial and error. This specialization replaces habit with method across the four situations that shape a career: everyday conversations, presentations, negotiations, and conflict. You start with the foundations of listening, rapport, and audience-aware writing, then learn to build a presentation around a story people remember. From there you prepare and run negotiations with clear goals, limits, and walk-away points, and finish by resolving workplace conflict through a structured mediation process. Every course uses self-assessments, scripts, and worked scenarios so you practise on situations you will actually face.
Applied Learning Project
Learners will apply their skills to solve a real workplace challenge by creating a comprehensive Influence Plan for an upcoming pitch, negotiation, or difficult conversation. To complete this plan, learners will produce:
An audience and stakeholder analysis,
A five-minute storyboarded presentation.
A negotiation preparation sheet with goals, limits, and walk-away points.
A conflict-resolution script with a draft written agreement.
