How can managers use processes to execute work, make better decisions, learn, and create lasting change?
In Understanding and Optimizing Management Processes, you’ll examine managerial work through the process lens. You’ll explore how deviations from established processes can provide valuable information for learning and how consistency and versatility shape effective general management. You’ll also examine how managers can frame problems and use conflict, consideration, and closure to improve decision-making under pressure. The course then explores how implementation creates opportunities for single-loop and double-loop learning and how accumulated learning can drive organizational change. By the end of the course, you’ll be better prepared to analyze managerial processes, learn from implementation, evaluate how decisions are made, and assess whether organizational change has become institutionalized.
