This hands-on course equips learners with the practical skills needed to design, construct, and enhance immersive natural environments using Unreal Engine’s powerful landscape and foliage systems. Beginning with foundational setup techniques, participants will demonstrate how to configure landscape parameters, apply sculpting tools to shape terrain, and construct multi-layered materials using the Material Editor. As the course progresses, learners will integrate foliage systems to simulate realistic vegetation and develop fully playable, optimized landscape levels.

Through guided video tutorials, applied practice quizzes, and a structured module approach, learners will analyze landscape composition strategies and evaluate their use of foliage, materials, and sculpting tools to achieve visually engaging results. By the end of this course, students will have the confidence to create, modify, and refine large-scale environments suitable for games and interactive experiences.

This module introduces learners to the foundational tools and workflows required to create immersive outdoor environments in Unreal Engine.
