I am very grateful to Prof. Kwon for having prepared this beginner friendly course on Python. I learned a ton.

Even though I learned a lot during this course, I didn't rate the course 5-star and let me explain why. If you are happy with courses taught in a classical style, this course is a 5-star course for you. What I mean by "classical style" is the conventional way when the instructor does the talking and does the actual work on the board (or on the screen). Prof. Kwon does a brilliant job of explaining the content, he is very organized and has a slow pace that allows people from non-programming backgrounds to follow him easily. He explains all the concepts with simple, clear examples. I appreciated his style a lot. The reason why I rated this course 4-star is that I believe learning happens much more effectively if the learner is encouraged to do programming simultaneously. Prof. Kwon, at some point during the course, told learners to open their Jupyter Notebook and do the same coding exercises as he does, but I think this in itself is rather repetitive and uninspiring. I believe, if he gave learners coding assignments to pass throughout the course it'd have been a better learning experience. Warmest regards.

This course didn't meet my expectations. The instructor had a fancy presentation style, but the content was overly basic and delivered little value. It was repetitive, lacked depth, and much of it felt OUT-DATED.

Where are the course materials

Prof Youngsun is amazing! His style is so down to earth, treating learners like children. For those who want foundational Python knowledge shall surely take this unique course. I was astonished to see that it was released in 2021 and yet it is so relevant even today. While efforts shall be made to update it to align it recent updates in LLM world; still, the course offers value for time and money. I was not bored at all. While people always encourage to do coding simultaneously to learn better, it has to be said that this is Practical Python for AI Coding, if we say it is for AI assisted coding, it would also be a justified thing. In today's era, many like me field weird while writing code so AI can do it for us but we have to understand to offer better solutions. AI is not coming, its already here and if we kept denying it like we did with Cryptocurrency, we'll regret! This course has also motivated me to go into ML / DL specialization and broader my horizons! Lots of love for the Prof from Pakistan! Kudos and I am saddened that you only have 2 courses, please bring more introductory courses to equip us with latest trends! Lots of respect for KAIST as well!
