This Specialization trains professionals to apply modern pain neuroscience and biopsychosocial reasoning to chronic pain support. Learners examine nociception, pain mechanisms, sensitization, context, communication, somatic awareness, nervous-system regulation, manual therapy, exercise, pacing, and flare-up planning. Three standalone courses progress from foundational concepts to therapeutic interaction and integrated long-term program design within professional scope.
Applied Learning Project
Learners analyze pain explanations and case narratives, practice non-threatening communication and sensation-focused inquiry, and create an integrated chronic pain program. Projects require safety routing, proportionate use of passive and active care, graded activity, pacing, flare-up decisions, regional case reasoning, outcome selection, collaboration, and an exit or self-management plan.
