In this specialization, you'll explore careers in environmental science and the cutting-edge technologies that will enable you to directly meet the climate challenge. By the end of the specialization, you'll be equipped with both the competencies to ethically engage communities to take collective action and to innovate with technology.
In the first course of the series, Climate Science for Everyone, we'll lay out the climate challenge by providing an overview of climate science and ask you to reflect on the impacts it has on your personal and professional life. Then in Drones for Environmental Science, you'll explore careers that would enable you to take climate and conservation action. In the final course, Community-Based Climate Change Solutions, you'll build on the first two courses to explore how you can mobilize collective action in your community through environmental research.
No background knowledge is assumed or necessary — these courses give you an overview of how you could pursue a green career. Whether you’re starting an environmental career, enhancing your current role, or simply seeking to make informed contributions to sustainability efforts, this program provides a practical pathway for turning knowledge into impact.
Applied Learning Project
