How does education level impact a supply chain analyst’s salary? 

According to the Association of Supply Chain Management’s The Supply Chain Profession in 2024 report, 47 percent of supply chain professionals worldwide hold a bachelor’s degree while 35 percent hold a graduate degree, and 7 percent have an associate degree [5]. Employers typically require a bachelor's degree or college diploma in subjects such as business administration, commerce, or economics. 

Additionally, some employers may require professional certifications for higher-paying jobs, such as a certificate from Supply Chain Canada or certification from the ASCM. 

The ASCM reports that the average supply chain professional salary increases to $85,680 with one certification and $90,968 with two certifications [5].

Job outlook for supply chain analysts 

The job outlook for supply chain analysts is fairly positive, with slightly more new job openings than job seekers.

The Job Bank Canada predicts that between 2022 and 2031, there will be around 68,700 new job openings for those in business management consulting, with around 63,800 new workers seeking employment [7].
