Associate Professor of Information Science Casey Fiesler researches and teaches in the areas of technology ethics and policy, human-computer interaction, and social computing. She is the William R. Payden Endowed Professor in the College of Communication, Media, Design, and Information at University of Colorado Boulder, affiliate faculty in Computer Science, and a Fellow in the Silicon Flatirons Institute for Law, Technology, and Entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado Law School. Also a public scholar, she is a frequent commentator and speaker on AI and internet ethics, and her research has been covered everywhere from The New York Times to Teen Vogue (though she’s particularly proud of her TikToks). Fiesler holds a PhD from Georgia Tech in Human-Centered Computing and a JD from Vanderbilt University Law School.
