Jane Jamieson has 20 years of technical and managerial experience of delivering infrastructure projects and programs in developing countries. This includes extensive experience of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) and the water sector and wide-ranging knowledge of international development policy and practice from living and working in Asia, South America and Africa.
Jane is currently a Senior Infrastructure Specialist in the Public-Private Partnerships Group of the World Bank Group where she leads a range of initiatives to advance knowledge and best practice on PPPs. Jane also continues to work with IFC’s PPP Advisory Services undertaking PPP transactions and business development primarily in the water sector in Africa. Jane joined IFC in 2010 from the UK Department for International Development (DFID) where she led DFID’s support to private sector participation in infrastructure and acted as Infrastructure Advisor to a range of DFID country programs in Central Asia, China and Guyana.Jane, a chartered civil engineer, previously worked for the consulting engineering firm Halcrow as a project engineer and manager of a wide range of water resources projects in the UK, Pakistan and Latin America. She hold Master’s degrees in engineering from the University of Southampton, UK and Ecole Nationale du Génie de l'Eau et de l'Environnement de Strasbourg, France.
