Bio

I am an Assistant Professor in the Philosophy Department at Frostburg State University. Before coming to Frostburg I taught at Colgate University, Hamilton College, and Utica College, in Upstate New York. I earned my Ph.D. from UC Berkeley and my B.A. from U.C.L.A. Courses I teach at Frostburg include Introduction to Philosophy, Ethics, History of Modern Philosophy, Philosophy and Women, Philosophy of Science, and Skepticism and the Search for Truth. My primary area of research is on the ethics and epistemology of the 17th-century French philosopher René Descartes. My other areas of research interest include history of philosophy, feminist philosophy, ethics, and epistemology.
