Robert Sinkovits is a computational scientist who has been with the San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) at the University of California, San Diego for nearly 30 years. He holds a BS in Engineering Physics from Lehigh University and a PhD in Physics from University of Connecticut. He specializes in high performance computing (HPC), the development of parallel software, and performance tuning and optimization. He has collaborated widely with researchers across physics, immunology, structural biology, chemistry, ecology and economics. While at SDSC he has held several senior roles, including Director of Education & Training. and has recently served at the Co-PI and project manager for the Expanse supercomputer.
