Jay Paul Skelton is an educator, director, producer, and writer whose work spans international stages and leading drama conservatoires. He teaches across the MA/MFA Actor Training and Coaching programme at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where he also serves as Business Programmes Manager for Central for Business, the business training and development arm of the school. Jay’s scholarship and practice examine acting and actor training through lenses of ethics, inclusion, and representation. He is co-editor, with Siiri Scott, of Stanislavsky and Race: Questioning the “System” in the Twenty-first Century (Routledge, 2023), the first volume to interrogate Stanislavsky’s legacy in relation to anti-racist theatre practice. His directing, producing, and writing credits exceed 125 productions across London, Edinburgh, New York, Chicago, and Boston, encompassing classical and contemporary texts, devised work, new writing, improvisational comedy, opera, and musical theatre. His collaborations include presenting work at the Edinburgh Fringe, Camden Fringe, International Youth Arts Festival, and Southwark Playhouse. Jay lives in London with his husband and their dog.
