Bio

Samira Ghayekhloo is a lecturer in the School of Computing, Informatics, and Decision Systems Engineering at Arizona State University. Samira received her PhD in Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence from Eastern Mediterranean University, Cyprus in 2016. She has over 9 years’ experience of teaching Computer Science, IT, and Software Engineering courses, such as Advanced Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, Data analysis, Object Oriented Programming, and Machine Learning. Prior to joining ASU, she was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Azad University, Iran for three years. Samira has also been involved in research projects and published several journals and conference papers. She mentored multiple graduate and undergraduate students and had an advisory role in their final projects. She is a recipient of “In Deep Learning with PyTorch Scholarship” and “Secure and Private AI Scholarship” jointly offered by Facebook and Udacity, and “Bertelsmann Data Science Challenge Scholarship” offered by Bertelsmann and Udacity.
