Bio

Ruben Huele has an MA in Sinology and a BSc in mathematics and computer science. His expertise includes Industrial Ecology, System Analysis, System Design, Modelling, and Data processing and visualization. He has been working at CML since 1987 and has participated in many European projects. He was initiator and coordinator of the Fifth Framework Coordinated Action Europhlukes and has been detailed to various Dutch governmental organizations, thus obtaining a broad experience in backgrounds and communication skills. He teaches a course on data processing and visualization techniques in the MSc Industrial Ecology and has initiated CML’s minor Sustainable Development. He is also very active in curriculum development and renewal, and has been among the first at Leiden University to experiment with new educational concepts such as “the flipped classroom”.
