Laureline Simon is the founder and director of One Resilient Earth. She has 20 years of experience in climate change mitigation and adaptation at the international level, including with the United Nations climate change secretariat, where she supported international climate negotiations on adaptation, loss and damage and the setting up of the Local Communities and Indigenous Peoples Platform. In 2020, she founded One Resilient Earth, a non-profit organisation based in Germany, which grows our human capacities to respond to unavoidable climate instability in just, creative and collaborative ways. One Resilient Earth has worked with over 3300 learners directly, including sustainability professionals and 2000+ young adults, on the topics of climate resilience and regeneration through transformative learning. The most impactful approaches, methods and tools they have designed and used have been integrated into the CLARITY toolbox and learning material. As a mother, Laureline has an extra drive to equip teachers and educators with the knowledge and tools they need so that children and youths can tackle climate change, without compromising their own emotional and mental well-being in the process.
