Welcome to Module 1, Communication in Remote Work. This module focuses on the pros and cons of remote communication and the importance of developing strong interpersonal communication skills for virtual environments. We will explore how remote communication fosters flexibility, accessibility, and the potential for a greater work-life balance. Then, we will illuminate the disadvantages of remote communication, shedding light on challenges such as potential distractions, misunderstandings, and feelings of isolation. We will close with a discussion of our personal challenges in remote work and identify strategies to overcome them.
Welcome to Module 2, Building Trust in Virtual Teams. This module will cover trust-building and trust-breaking behaviors in a virtual setting and identify ways to develop a culture of trust and repair broken trust. We will close by discussing what trust-breaking and trust-building behaviors we have experienced as a remote team member.
