What you'll learn

  • Turn a raw product idea into a prompt brief and build clickable, multi-screen prototypes in Lovable without writing code.

  • Add real data, login, and AI features to a prototype, publish it, and run usability tests that produce actionable evidence.

  • Demo prototypes to stakeholders without overpromising and hand them off to engineering with user stories and acceptance criteria.

There are 6 modules in this course

Wondering how to get a product idea out of your head and into something people can actually click, without waiting for a designer or an engineering sprint? This module answers exactly that question. By the end of this module you will turn a raw product idea into a one-page prompt brief and use it to generate a working first app screen in Lovable. You will learn where a working prototype fits among other prototyping options such as sketches, Figma mockups, and written specs, how Lovable converts plain-language requirements into a real web app, and how to structure a prompt brief around the problem, the target user, the core job to be done, the key screen, and the desired look. You will work with Lovable on its free plan and a general-purpose AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude to sharpen your idea before you prompt. This module is designed for product managers, product owners, and founders with no coding background. No technical experience or prior Lovable use is required, and everything runs in a web browser. You will finish with a live first screen of your own product idea plus a reusable one-page prompt brief template you can apply to any new concept you want to validate quickly.

Wondering how to prototype a whole user journey, not just a single pretty screen, so stakeholders and test users can walk through it from start to finish? This module answers exactly that question. By the end of this module you will build a clickable three-screen user flow in Lovable with working navigation between every step. You will learn why prototypes should test journeys rather than isolated pages, how to use Lovable's Plan mode to map screens, steps, and edge cases before any code is generated, and how to recover when a change breaks something by pasting the error message into chat and guiding Lovable to a fix. You will work with Lovable's Plan mode and chat, plus an AI assistant for listing edge cases and empty states. This module is designed for product managers and product owners who want to prototype flows such as onboarding, checkout, or booking. No coding experience is required, and a Lovable starter project is provided so you can begin immediately. You will finish with a working three-screen booking flow and a repeatable plan-review-build routine you can use for any multi-step journey you need to validate.

Wondering how to get Lovable to build the screen you already drew on a whiteboard, in your company's colors, without learning a design tool? This module answers exactly that question. By the end of this module you will turn a hand-drawn wireframe or a reference screenshot into a branded, realistic UI prototype in Lovable. You will learn how much visual polish a prototype really needs for different audiences, how to attach an image to a prompt so Lovable reproduces its layout, how to adjust text, colors, and spacing instantly with Visual Edits without spending prompt credits, and how to set a standing style guide so every new page stays on brand. You will also use an AI assistant to replace placeholder text with realistic content, because lorem ipsum makes test users and stakeholders react to the wrong thing. You will work with Lovable's image upload, Visual Edits, and chat. This module is designed for product managers and product owners who are not designers but need prototypes that look credible. No design or coding experience is required. You will finish with a branded dashboard screen recreated from a wireframe, filled with realistic content, plus a reusable style guide prompt for your future prototypes.

Wondering how to make a prototype that actually remembers what users type, lets them log in, and even includes an AI feature, so your test feels like a real product? This module answers exactly that question. By the end of this module you will add a working database, user sign-up and login, and one AI-powered feature to a Lovable prototype. You will learn, in product terms rather than engineering terms, what a database, authentication, and a backend do, and when a test genuinely needs real data instead of a front-end mockup. You will enable Lovable Cloud to store data and manage accounts, use an AI assistant to turn user stories into a simple data model before prompting, and add an AI summary feature with a single prompt. You will work with Lovable Cloud and Lovable's built-in AI capabilities, with no API keys or server setup. This module is designed for product managers and product owners who need functional prototypes for pilots, internal tools, or realistic user tests. No coding or database knowledge is required, and a starter project is provided. You will finish with a note-taking prototype that saves each user's data behind a login and summarizes notes with AI, plus a data model checklist for future builds.

Wondering how to get your prototype in front of real users and come back with evidence you can act on rather than polite opinions? This module answers exactly that question. By the end of this module you will run a usability test session on a published Lovable prototype and log three prioritized findings, each rewritten as a ready-to-send Lovable prompt. You will learn how to turn a product assumption into a testable hypothesis, how many participants you need for a useful signal, and how to ask questions that do not lead the user. You will publish a prototype to a shareable link, add an in-app feedback button that stores tester responses, use an AI assistant to write a task-based test script, and practice a live test session with an AI-simulated first-time user who struggles with part of the flow. You will work with Lovable's publishing feature, Lovable Cloud for storing feedback, and a general-purpose AI assistant. This module is designed for product managers, product owners, and UX-minded founders who want to validate ideas before committing engineering time. No research or coding background is required, and a ready-made prototype is provided. You will finish with a completed test session, three prioritized findings written as prompts, and a reusable test script template for your next round of testing.

Wondering how to present a prototype so stakeholders understand the vision, and then hand it to engineers in a form they can actually use? This module answers exactly that question. By the end of this module you will deliver a five-minute prototype demo, handle stakeholder objections, and produce an engineering handoff brief for a finished Lovable prototype. You will learn how to frame a prototype as a communication tool rather than a finished product, so you can show the vision without overpromising on timelines or quality. You will connect a Lovable project to GitHub so engineers can review the code, ask Lovable to explain generated code in plain language, use AI to reverse-engineer user stories and acceptance criteria from the working prototype, and practice your demo with an AI-simulated head of engineering who pushes back on scope and timelines. You will work with Lovable's GitHub integration, Lovable's chat, and a general-purpose AI assistant. This module is designed for product managers and product owners who need to secure buy-in and move validated ideas into delivery. No coding experience is required, and a finished sample prototype is provided. You will finish with a rehearsed demo, an agreed next handoff step, and a brief containing a GitHub link, user stories, acceptance criteria, and known limitations.
