Develops the planning, execution, and adaptation skills needed to run Scrum through a complete delivery cycle. Learners examine team capabilities, dependencies, sprint timing, relative sizing, velocity, release planning, sprint goals, and the definition of done. The module then focuses on effective sprint practices, including daily coordination, limiting work in progress, surfacing impediments, responding when sprint goals are at risk, conducting useful sprint reviews, and running retrospectives that result in a specific change, owner, and date.

Extends Scrum beyond its traditional software development setting and develops the ability to adapt the framework to different types of work. Learners examine Scrum in software and tangible goods production, including how physical materials, tooling, lead times, and manufacturing constraints affect sprint planning and the definition of an increment. The module then explores service delivery and publishing, showing learners how to define increments, construct backlogs, gather feedback, and adapt sprint reviews when the output is continuous, experiential, physical, or shaped by longer production cycles.

Expands Scrum into business functions and personal contexts where work is less obviously incremental. Learners explore IT operations and interrupt-driven work, portfolio selection and funding, and applications in human resources and finance, including how to reserve capacity and work with externally imposed cycles. The module then applies Scrum principles to business development, customer service, family organization, and personal goals, helping learners identify which elements of the framework should be adapted while retaining visible backlogs, short cycles, regular inspection, and continuous improvement.

Provides practical resources that consolidate the Scrum frameworks, tools, and adaptations developed throughout the course. These resources bring together the roles and accountability boundaries, artifacts and events, team setup checklist, backlog writing and ordering practices, relative sizing and velocity forecasting, sprint goals and definition of done, review and retrospective structures, and adaptations for goods, services, operations, and business functions. The supplementary materials also include benefits, enabling factors, continuing resources, a one-page Scrum toolkit, and a final integrated project in which learners set up Scrum for real or representative work, build the required artifacts, plan a release and first sprint, define appropriate adaptations, and prepare for likely implementation objections.
