This three-course Specialization builds practical cybersecurity skills for non-technical professionals who work with data, manage teams, or make operational decisions. It’s designed for managers, business owners, office administrators, healthcare and legal professionals, HR and finance teams, and others responsible for protecting organizational information and people.
You’ll learn how cyber threats work, why people fall for them, and how technical controls protect networks, devices, and data. You’ll also explore the human and legal aspects of incident response, including security culture, U.S. breach notification requirements, and coordinated response planning.
Using a single realistic business scenario across all three courses, the Specialization connects cybersecurity concepts to practical workplace situations. By the end, you’ll be able to identify key vulnerabilities, choose appropriate security defenses, and lead a structured response to cybersecurity incidents.
Applied Learning Project
This Specialization includes hands-on exercises that apply cybersecurity concepts to realistic business scenarios. You'll work through a simulated Business Email Compromise (BEC) fraud case study, complete a tabletop ransomware incident exercise, draft a legally compliant breach notification letter, and build a Cyber Emergency Call Sheet ready for use in a real incident.
