Very thorough course that introduces several cocepts at a reasonable pace. The quizzes are well thought and add to the learning process. Would recommend to beginners.

Thank you, Microsoft for help job seeker to get hands-on practical exercises and build their skills to enter the business analytics field.
N
Several issues with quizzes including but not limited to "select all that apply" questions being single multiple-choice format among others.
BS
Its very entertaining but some of the activities are not very clear and no examples provided. overall this really helps in boosting our skills in a very practical manner.

This is the best course I have taken so far. It truly opened my eyes to the world of business analysis and deepened my understanding of the field.
OV
Essentials topics and valuated insights, how recommendation add more visualizations in the videos about the samples and cases, as charts, conceptual maps etc.
JM
Great learnings and delivery of material. Only problem I had was with the mutli answer questions, where some were very vague and similar.
MR
This course fundamentally changed the way I think now. From simple explanation to complex scenario this course had it all.
AA
Excellent material and easy to understand! As I wrap up my last course, I had to provide my feedback. It has been a great journey with the knowledge provided!
TC
It was an excellent course and I truly learned a lot. I would have preferred a little more data for the final project, other than that I liked the course layout.
DD
Some of the information was wrong pertaining to quizzes. Also, most videos didn't have subtitles. Other than that, the information I'd learned was valuable.

The content was too overwhelming, video instructor was too fast and there were no proper inline definitions throughout the videos. Video length was too long and time dedicated to each reading section was too low despite having long content. As a BA I found that there were no proper distinction between project manager role and a business analyst. there were so many things which does not align with BA, as a BA in so many cases are helping hands for project manager and are there to support them with insights and recommendation and PM takes lead. This course might confuse the candidates who are willing to opt for BA course. I understand that BA's role depend company to company due to several factors but should be confident enough to know what falls under BA's bucket and what does not.
Covers the basics of the role of a Business Analyst. Videos feel like they are written by AI, scenarios are commonly used to explain a point while not fully fleshing out the definition, while some videos also restating a definition multiple times with variation of wording. Frequent points in the assessments are not covered or explained in detail within the videos. The better parts of the course shine through in the reading, of which are too few.
I learnt a lot from this course, I also learnt how to practically apply the knowledge in different scenerios. I will pursue a BCS Foundation certificate in Business Analyst next. Thanks!
This Business Analysis Fundamentals course has been a really eye-opening experience for me. Before starting, I had a vague idea of what a Business Analyst does, but now I have a much deeper appreciation for how crucial the role is in aligning business needs with solutions. I can now clearly identify situations in my organization where a BA's input would have made a significant difference — especially in stakeholder engagement and process improvement. One of my key takeaways was understanding the importance of stakeholder analysis and how tools like the RACI matrix and the Power-Interest Grid can bring clarity and structure to complex projects. I also found the sections on data collection and analysis techniques particularly insightful, as they gave me a solid foundation to approach both qualitative and quantitative data more effectively. I did find it a bit challenging at first to differentiate between all the various research methods, especially when it came to hybrid techniques. But going back to the definitions, looking at examples, and discussing with peers helped clear things up. This course has definitely influenced my professional goals — I’m now seriously considering a career path in business analysis, and I feel more confident about my ability to contribute meaningfully to projects. I'm excited to keep learning, connect with others in this field, and maybe even start working on certification. Curious to hear from others: What was your biggest "aha" moment during the course?
This is a really well organised course that I thoroughly enjoyed taking. Having some basic understanding of project management, qual/quant methodologies, statistics, and even webdesign will go a long way. I found most of the assignments very useful and at times a paired it myself with ChatGPT to get personal feedback. I honestly recommend this to everyone and I will use that a lot more going forward. I found the time estimated fairly acurate. I am currently between work contracts and have a lot of time at my dispossal and could dedicate all my energy to this course. I finished it in three days, spending maybe 12 hrs in total (I think). Going at a thorough but steady pace I was able to finish all assignments and quizes on first attempt. Apart from final task which I spent about 2,5 hours on and not 1 hour, everything followed time assesment or was faster. This is a great course if you want to dust off some competencies, see them in a new light, or maybe find out which areas you need to improve in. I wouldn’t say that this couse will not give you any specific skill that you will be able to go out and use immediately, but it is a solid foundation. The tools are introduced well enough that I feel like I understand what they are, how to use them, and when to use them. But I’d probably spent a little time seeking out a tutorial or short course before applying them in a work setting.

I found this course easy to follow and understand. A little challenging at times because of the massive volume of information. Overall very happy with it.
This course was really amazing. Completely based on the real-world scenario and problems, it made learning a smooth curve of problem solving.
Good course providing fundamental skills for BA role in business world.
Excellent, Do we not get our Names on the Certificate?
TAKE NOTES!!! and pay attention this first module gives tons of insight and valuable information
Really hated select all that applies questions everything else is great
NO CERTIFICATE GIVEN TO ME!
The course is not good at all. Talking straight for the whole time is quite boring. No slides were prepared by the instructor and even the reading parts of each module contained a lot of text and again boring. I had a much higher expectation from Microsoft.
Absolute buzzword nonsense that teaches nothing of actual value. This course is essentially the useless syllabus week of an introductory college course. There is zero helpful information in the entirety of the course. Do not waste your time or money.
You can't get certificate if you have Coursera Plus or if you finished your course earlier. You need to pay $50
this is more about theoritical knowledge dont like this course
This course is for beginners without a professional degree.
I really enjoyed this first course in Business Analysis Fundamentals. It gave me a clear understanding of what a BA does and why the role is so important in any organization. I also appreciated how the course broke everything down into simple steps, which made it easier for me to stay engaged and absorb the information. This course is a great starting point for anyone curious about business analysis, and I’m looking forward to continuing the next part of the learning journey!
