Explains the positive impact of ESG on business value. However based on research and personal experience, high ESG ratings companies don't necessarily have higher valuations. But businesses should definitely focus on sustainability, a wider or more generic term for improving long term business value, including by looking after the interests of all stakeholders.

This is a well organized and informative course. Some of the materials need to be updated to reflect more recent changes in ESG.

The assessment questions need to be a tad bit harder.

Even though I performed well on the final quiz, I don't feel the content of the course was very reflected in the quiz questions. Some of the quiz questions were just obvious it wasn't the other answers, but I felt like I didn't actually earn what the answer would have been without the context clues of the obvious. Also, the question regarding assessing a company's ESG performance using CSRHub has an error. Exxon would be considered "High" based off their score (62) and the ratings set by the answers within the quiz. When I selected "High" based on the 62 score, it was marked as incorrect.

One of the answers to the graded assessment was inaccurate, based on the updated ESR ratings on https://www.csrhub.com/CSR_and_sustainability_information/Exxon-Mobil-Corporation as of 31 Aug 2026. As such, the assessment was wrongly graded.
