In this module, you will examine the role of SQL in data science and the basic concepts underlying relational databases, including tables, schemas, and relationships. You will learn to navigate a SQL environment using MySQL within Jupyter Notebooks. You will write SELECT statements to retrieve data from single tables, and use WHERE clauses with logical operators—AND, OR, NOT, and IN—to filter query results.

In this module, you will examine why version control matters for data science and SQL projects. You will learn to integrate Git commands into your SQL development environment to support collaborative work.
