This Specialization equips compliance officers, risk managers, IT and procurement professionals, and business leaders with practical skills to manage AI responsibly, from assessing individual AI tools to governing their use across the organization and vetting the vendors behind them. You’ll learn to identify and score AI risks, test generative AI chatbots, classify systems under the EU AI Act, write acceptable use and incident response policies, and review vendor security evidence, data handling terms, and contracts, using resources such as the MIT AI Risk Repository, the NIST AI RMF Playbook, SOC 2 reports, ChatGPT, and Claude. By the end, you’ll have a working set of risk registers, governance policies, and vendor review documents you can apply right away, backed by clear reasoning that decision-makers and auditors can act on.
Applied Learning Project
Throughout the Specialization, learners apply each skill to realistic business scenarios, such as assessing a generative AI chatbot before rollout, drafting an AI acceptable use policy and incident response plan, and reviewing an AI vendor's security evidence and contract terms. Each scenario reflects the decisions organizations face when adopting AI, producing documents like risk registers, policy drafts, and vendor review checklists that translate directly to the workplace.
