Build secure, resilient cloud infrastructure and distributed systems designed for modern enterprise environments.
Develop practical expertise across Kubernetes security, edge computing, high availability, service meshes, and distributed observability.
This intermediate Specialization explores how security, resilience, connectivity, data consistency, and observability work together across cloud-native systems. You'll evaluate Kubernetes workload protection, DevSecOps controls, edge infrastructure, SD-WAN, micro-segmentation, and secure distributed computing.
You'll examine active-active architectures, multi-region routing, CAP and PACELC trade-offs, replication, distributed consensus, resilient microservices, Kafka synchronization, and chaos engineering. You'll also explore distributed tracing, OpenTelemetry, service mesh telemetry, trace analysis, and performance optimization.
By completing the Specialization, you'll be able to evaluate distributed architectures, identify security and reliability risks, analyze performance bottlenecks, and recommend improvements that strengthen availability, visibility, security, and operational resilience.
Applied Learning Project
Through scenario-based projects, learners will evaluate Kubernetes security controls for banking workloads, design secure edge computing infrastructure, and assess active-active architectures for high availability and disaster recovery. They will also analyze distributed traces, identify microservices performance bottlenecks, and recommend practical improvements to strengthen security, resilience, and operational efficiency across enterprise cloud environments.
