What does it take to become an effective leader and build high-performing teams? This specialization explores the principles and practices of leadership, from stepping into a leadership role for the first time to creating the conditions that enable teams to perform at their best. Through real-world leadership examples, learners examine how effective leaders navigate transitions, develop talent, and build productive working relationships.
Across two courses, learners develop practical approaches for taking charge of new responsibilities, leading teams, developing leadership capabilities, and strengthening trust through emotional intelligence and effective communication.
Applied Learning Project
Across the specialization, learners apply leadership concepts to realistic workplace challenges through scenario-based exercises, discussions, role plays, and development planning activities. They practice leading teams, coaching others, navigating team conflict, and applying evidence-based leadership principles to authentic management situations.
