About the Course

This is the first of three courses in the Google Business Intelligence Certificate, which will help develop the skills needed to apply for entry-level roles as a business intelligence (BI) professional. People who work in BI help organizations access the right data, use data to help businesses grow and improve, and put insights into action. In this course, you’ll discover the role of BI professionals within an organization and explore BI tools you can use on the job. Google employees who currently work in BI will guide you through this course by providing hands-on activities that simulate job tasks, sharing examples from their day-to-day work, and helping you build business intelligence skills to prepare for a career in the field. Learners who complete the three courses in this certificate program will have the skills needed to apply for business intelligence jobs. This certificate program assumes prior knowledge of foundational analytical principles, skills, and tools covered in the Google Data Analytics Certificate. Out of all the courses I have taken from Google Coursera, I have found this one to be the most boring and tedious. Besides, I would have to point out its redundancy of simple terms and what I would call "common sense awareness". Most of the weekly challenges questions are just common sense. not real technical advise or learning.

Really lacking some hands-on activities. The course is rather aimed at learning Google's definitions of different aspects of BI-related activities. Still, the structure is really well-done and the mix of tasks shows a lot of work was done. Hope further courses will bring more practical experience.

I can't give this 5 stars. My opinion is skewed because I'm taking this 2 weeks after completing the Google Data Analytics course. This felt like a review and I could have skipped to the second course. If I was taking this fresh I would likely have a different opinion.

Great overview and set up of the class. My big issue was the data set in the final project is not viewable. All the data is showing as null in the bigquery database.

It tells you after you have already enrolled that you must have a data analytics certification in order to succeed in this course basically.
