Learners will gain a variety of skills, including ethical hacking, network defense, digital forensics, incident response, and threat analysis. Specific tools and techniques covered include using ethical hacking tools, implementing network security controls, conducting forensic investigations, and analyzing network traffic for suspicious activity.

No prior experience in cybersecurity is required to enroll in this program. However, basic computer literacy, familiarity with operating systems, and an understanding of networking concepts are recommended to help learners succeed in the coursework.

The program includes over 80 hands-on lab exercises across five courses: Information Security Fundamentals, Ethical Hacking Essentials: Hands-On Edition (EHE), Network Defense Essentials: Hands-On Edition (NDE), Digital Forensics Essentials: Hands-On Edition (DFE), Into the Trenches: Security Operations Center. These labs provide practical experience in real-world scenarios, such as creating and analyzing malware, performing forensic investigations, and implementing network security controls. Learners will use tools like Theef RAT, Autopsy, The Sleuth Kit, pfSense, and Suricata to develop their skills and build a portfolio of work samples for their resumes.
