Each of the four courses in the specialization delivers extensive learning materials and activities.

The Cybersecurity Foundation course provides instructions on cybersecurity fundamentals tenants, such as cybersecurity best practices, encryption, attack mitigation and more.

The Network Security Fundamentals course focuses on traditional network security measures, including understanding and mitigation of network security threats and attacks, as well as next generation firewall technologies that are used to isolate and protect network appliances and services. Principles like Zero Trust are presented as critical features of network security.

The Cloud Security Fundamentals course examines cybersecurity services as delivered and optimized through cloud native technologies. Cybersecurity cloud subscription services are presented as a way to unify and standardize enterprise cybersecurity applications and data protection through a service architecture presented by Palo Alto Networks Prisma and Prisma Access.

The Security Operations Fundamentals course introduces the Security Operations Center as the enterprise services solution for uniform security management and enforcement across locations and sites. SOC enhancements include the implementation of XSOAR and other core features of Palo Alto Networks Cortex.
